I wanted to capture the bleak emotions of the ship. Neptune is a game about survival
as well as horror. You are trapped and facing terrible and often times supernatural
odds.
The ship to me was like a giant metal cage. One might as well be adrift in space as
the cold ocean. I used metal timbres to accentuate this fact. Tracks like "The hull
is failing and "Iron Coffin" Especially reflect this mood.
I even hoped to let the touch of metal enter mood pieces, such as "Everything is
Underwater/Flashback" and the assorted atmospheric pieces.
I hope my music translates the sense of despair that being aboard Neptune conveys.
